Working at MCD University of Divinity
All MCD University of Divinity Colleges employ staff independently and the University Council employs the staff based at the Office of the Vice-Chancellor. Each of the Vice-Chancellor’s staff receives a Letter of Appointment, describing the terms and conditions of their employment, which specifies a probationary period of three calendar months. Conditions and remuneration are in accordance with the HEW staff levels in the Higher Education Industry – General Staff – Award 2010 and a negotiated salary scale model negotiated between staff and management, with an additional 5% employer contribution to superannuation. Each staff member completes an annual review. All other staff, including teaching, administrative, library and support staff, are employed by the MCD University of Divinity Colleges. There are also external research supervisors who have no institutional relationship to the Colleges.
