The Conference Dinner will be one of the memorable highlights of the MCD Centenary Conference program. Guests will be treated to a sumptuous three course sit down meal. The dinner guest speaker will also be a highlight of the evening.

PRIVACY ACT
Australia introduced the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000 in 2001. The Conference Organisers comply with such legislation which is designed to protect the right of the individual to privacy of their information. Information collected in respect of proposed participation in any aspect of MCD Centenary Conference will be only used for the purposes of planning future MCD conferences and may also be provided to the organising body or to organisers of future events. It is also usual to produce a ‘Delegate List' of attendees at the conference and to include the individual's details in such a list. The Privacy Act 2001 provides that, before your name, organisation and state/country details can be published in the list of the conference delegates for distribution to fellow delegates or any other party, you must give your consent. If you DO NOT wish to have your name and details included in the Delegate List please indicate this on the registration form.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
Your registration and payment will be acknowledged in writing with confirmation of your requirements according to your registration form. Your registration will not be processed or confirmed if payment does not accompany your form. The registration form is an approved Tax Invoice by the Australian Tax Office.
ENTRANCE TO THE CONFERENCE
Each delegate at the Conference will receive a name badge upon registration. The badge will be your official pass and must be clearly visible at all times to obtain entry to all sessions.
PAYMENT METHODS
Credit card payment online
Please note all online registrations require immediate payment by credit card. Accepted credit cards are Visa and Mastercard . Please note all transactions by credit card will appear on your statement as payment to our online secure e-commerce provider MIE Software Pty Ltd Port Melbourne.
Cheque payments
Full payment should accompany the hard copy Registration Form. Cheques are to be made payable to MCD Centenary Conference. Please print your name and address clearly on the back of the cheque. Cheque payments from overseas must be a bank cheque in Australian Dollars drawn on an Australian Bank. No other currency will be accepted.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
Cancellations must be notified in writing to the Conference Secretariat, CLEMS by email to centenaryconference@clems.com.au. No refunds will be made for non-attendance at the conference.
1. Registration - cancellations before 31 May 2010 will incur an AUD$50.00 cancellation fee. Cancellations after 31 May 2010 cannot be accepted however transfer of registration to another person will be accepted.
2. Accommodation - deposit must be paid or credit card details provided at the time of booking to guarantee your booking. The deposit is non-refundable after 4 June 2010
- For No Shows, the first night accommodation will be charged to the guest credit card supplied.
- For cancellations made after 24 hours prior to arrival, the guests credit card will be charged the first night's accommodation.
3. Conference dinner tickets - payments are non-refundable after 4 June 2010
GOODS & SERVICES TAX (GST)
Goods and Services Tax (GST) is a broad-based tax of 10% on most goods, services and other items sold or consumed in Australia. For international visitors, a tax refund may be sought at the airport for goods purchased beyond the value of $300 and which are carried with them in their hand luggage when leaving the country. A tax refund is not available for goods or services consumed in Australia therefore the GST component of conference registrations fees, accommodation, tours, etc. are not claimable.
INSURANCE
Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. Participants carry their own risk for personal injury or loss of property, including baggage, during the conference. We strongly recommend that, at the time of booking your travel and tours, you take out a travel insurance policy. This policy should take into account loss of deposit through cancellation, medical insurance, loss or damage to personal property, and financial loss incurred through disruption to accommodation or travel arrangements due to business failures, strikes, or other industrial action. The Conference Organisers cannot take any responsibility for any participant failing to arrange their own insurance. Insurance must be purchased in your country of origin.
DISCLAIMERS
The MCD Centenary Conference Committee including the Conference Organisers, will not accept liability for damages of any nature sustained by participants or loss or damage to their personal property as a result of the conference or related events.
